Negative experience: 30-May-25 Court 1 Booking in my name I’ve been a regular visitor to Athletic Kings and even took 12 tennis classes with Coach Marco in the past. Unfortunately, my recent experience has left me extremely disappointed, and I feel compelled to share it. The cleanliness of the courts is consistently poor—there’s often bird droppings on the court, and torn nets are left unattended. On arrival, there’s no staff present at the reception, and no one available to guide you to your booked court. While I understand it’s my responsibility to check my booking details, a basic level of customer support should be expected—especially when you’re paying for a service. Our match was scheduled from 9 to 10 PM. It was neck-and-neck (6-6 in both sets), and we only needed 10 more minutes to decide the game. I came all the way from Abu Dhabi, and my opponent also traveled far. However, the staff member who showed up was rude and inflexible. He claimed we had already taken 5 extra minutes and refused any leniency, despite our reasonable request for just 10 minutes to finish the match. This is supposed to be a sports club, where some spirit, flexibility, and understanding should be part of the environment. Sadly, there was none. The interaction made me feel like I was just a number, not a valued customer. It’s disheartening when a place you once considered your club treats you with such rigidity and lack of empathy. Based on this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning to Athletic Kings. Wishing them the best, but it’s time for me to look elsewhere

Negative experience: This place does not care about player safety. We've been playing here 2-3 times a week for several years, and on the morning of April 16th when AQI in the UAE was the WORST in the world at over 300 - they refused to move the time slot for me and a few other players with several hours of notice. We didn't want a refund - just to move our slot since there was a general outdoor hazard warning and it was dangerous to be out, much less playing in an outdoor tennis club. Do not give this organization business, when it comes to player safety, they do not care.

Negative experience: We started at 9pm and finished at 10pm - Our reserved slot (it was Sunday) I wanted to take shower after game - but was rejected and told that club is closed - bye bye How come they close exactly when my time is finishing and I am not able to take a shower? Weird If you have last slot at 9-10, so you should close at least 10:30 to give time for shower and close changes Bad experience

Fantastic experience: Best environment to play tennis in Dubai, the closest place to a tennis clib as we are used to in Europe. Started playing there 18 months ago thanks to a friend. Seyan - the owner - is extremely friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I moved my 2 daughters to play classes last March. Vladan Peric is their coach, 20+ years experience in Italy: not only a great professional but a truly gifted coach with excellent touch for kids. I wouldn’t say this if I didn’t see the impressive progress made in less than 9 months from my girls. Thanks Vladan, thanks Seyan, long live the Kings !

Showers and changing rooms are always clean and equipped for hygiene and comfort of the user. Management and the team are very professional while being friendly. My coach, Vladan, is extremely good. With his 30years of experience and good attitude, he is making sure it is a safe and enjoyable sport for all ages. Thank you all..

Negative experience: First time visitor to Athletic Kings Tennis Club. Firstly, it's a small club but with lovely courts. I booked for 2 hours using the online booking system, quick and easy. During play however, due to an injury occurring after just 30 minutes my partner and I had to stop play. The receptionist was friendly and provided first aid, which I appreciated. On a polite request to return one time to play for the hour that we had paid for but couldn't fulfil, we were declined by the management immediately. While I fully respect club rules and understand that the circumstances for stopping play were not the clubs fault, as a first time visitor I certainly did not expect the lack of service or flexibility that was offered to me. I didnt ask for a refund, just to ask for my time allocation to be honoured at a time convenient to the club. I felt the unwelcoming attitude was really poor and as a result I sadly won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: I enjoy playing and training with the highly professional and caring coaches at the club. There are now four tennis courts and additional paddle tennis courts that you can book online.

They have 4 great tennis courts + 2 new padel courts. they have recently installed men and women restrooms with showers and a small club house to buy tennis or padel material and have a coffee or drink a fresh beverage. The manager is super flexible, helpful and very nice, thank You!

Fantastic experience: I’m a novice who decided to learn tennis at the age of 42. These guys make it easy. My coach Vladimir is obviously good at what he does, is engaging, easy to get along with, and so funny! He really makes the process of coaching/playing/training lots of fun. Management displays understanding of the fact that people often have a tough time managing classes with work/family, so they are flexible in terms of timings and schedules. Seyan (the boss) is super nice, friendly and helpful… always helps sort things out in the interest of the players. Highly recommended.
